Just Be More Creative & Can't Get Started?

Feng Shui Can Get Your Creative Juices Flowing!
by P.K. Odle, The Feng Shui Advantage
How many times have you stared at a blank page or canvas... wishing your creative juices would kick-in? Even though you know your subject backwards and forwards, you just can't get started. So, you decide to take a walk and somewhere along the way your right brain lights-up. Now, you're overflowing with brilliance and can't wait to get started.
What changed that allowed your creative genius to flow? The direction of your body is what changed. From the day you're born you have a specific 15-degree direction that supports your creativity or talents (right brain). When you sit or stand with your 'Talent' 15-degree direction BEHIND you, it gives your right brain maximum support.
When one of my clients who had writer's block remembered that I had showed him how to find his 'Talent' direction... he took out the diagram of where all his personal magnetic directions were located in his current home. Then he rearranged his desk so that his back was toward his 'Talent' direction. He said before he knew it he had written three chapters and his writer's block was history.
Some Feng Shui books claim you should face toward your supportive directions, which is incorrect. Are you a horse pulling a carriage... chasing after a carrot on a stick? Of course not. You want support behind you. After all, why does a chair have a back on it? To give you support.
You naturally want your most supportive direction behind you to propel you forward. Think about it... if you're on a swing and you ask someone to give you a push. They'll give you a push from behind to propel you forward. Won't they?
I find it fascinating that more than 4,000 years ago the ancient Chinese Feng Shui Masters even knew that we had a right and left brain. Not to mention... that the right brain is where our creativity resides. What's even more amazing is that they discovered you have an exact 15-degree direction that supports your creativity and one that supports your intellect.
Plus they determined that when you want to be your most creative... you want to sit or stand with your back toward your 'Talent' 15-degree direction. However, if you're doing creative writing and want to edit your work... turn to your 'Intellect' 15-degree direction. Otherwise you will be re-writing for days, instead of finishing the edits only.
