Feng Shui's RED DOOR Myth
~ or ~
Why Fire Colors Often Cause Disasters!
(revised for 4Feb2023 to 3Feb2024)
Have you felt a change since adding Fire Colors to your décor in a recent remodeling/redecorating project or setting-up your Fire Colored holiday decorations? Are you having more health challenges, such as problems with your eyes, heart, stomach, or reproductive organs, since adding those Fire Colors? When it comes to your personal or business relationships, have you noticed an increase or decrease in gossiping, arguing, or legal problems, including marital problems, such as separation or divorce? Is it taking you longer and longer to finish a project and/or receive payments for completed projects? Are you having trouble acquiring new clients?
The colors with the strongest influence of Fire energy are vibrant Reds and Purples. However, any shade in the Red or Purple family and even bright Fiery Oranges are still a Fire influence on the Feng Shui energies in the space. Of course, burning a large number of candles and/or using your fireplace, whether it is wood-burning or gas, is also a Fire influence on the Feng Shui energies in the space.
When troubles begin in February, it's a strong probability that the Feng Shui ANNUAL Energy Shift is contributing to those problems in your daily life. Every house experiences an Annual Energy Shift, which explains why one year can be better or worse in the same house. By the way, in Feng Shui, we refer to all buildings as a house, whether it's your home, condo, or workplace.
Like Mother Nature's changing seasons, Feng Shui's Annual Energy Shift has precise timing. Most would assume this universal energy shift occurs on the Chinese Lunar New Year, which varies from year-to-year. However, Classical Yi Jing Feng Shui studies the effects of solar energy on planet Earth; therefore, the less publicized Chinese SOLAR calendar applies to the Feng Shui energies. In a Western Farmer's Almanac, the Chinese SOLAR New Year is the same as the Spring Establishment or Spring Stand, the exact mid-point between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox peaks.
The shift of the Universal or Annual Feng Shui energies affects your building differently each year, depending on your building's inherent energy blueprint. In some years, your circumstances will improve because the Annual Energy that visits your entrances, bedrooms, and/or offices acts as a natural remedy for the permanent energy pattern present in that area. Unfortunately, some years the opposite occurs, and the Annual Energy contributes to disasters by acting as a trigger for existing negative energies or creating a sabotaging energy combination.
Certain energies bring nothing but disasters, such as accidents, delays, pain, and major illnesses, including eye or heart disease or gossip, arguments, and lawsuits or separation/divorce, stomach, abdominal, or reproductive organ problems, including miscarriages or tumors. And those harmful energies are intensified by FIRE COLORS inside those areas.
In 2023 (4Feb'23 to 3Feb'24), if your entrance, bedroom, living room, or office is in the magnetic EAST 45° portion of your home or workplace, the visiting annual energy contributes to marital problems, such as separation/divorce, stomach, abdominal, or reproductive organ problems, including miscarriages or tumors. To protect your health and relationships, you'll need to remove all FIRE COLORS and avoid using a fireplace in that area. With a Feng Shui Advantage® consultation, you'll learn which elemental remedy is required in the area to neutralize the negative aspects of the visiting Annual Energy.
As in many years, there is a second magnetic 45° direction to avoid using a fireplace and remove all FIRE COLORS, especially if any of the important areas previously mentioned are located in that portion of your home or workplace. In 2023, NORTHWEST is that second direction, due to the visiting energy that brings accidents, delays, pain, and major illnesses, including eye or heart disease, and/or gossip, arguments, and lawsuits.
PLEASE NOTE that I strongly suggest having a remote consultation before placing any remedy in these sections of your home or workplace. In few houses, the NORTHWEST and/or EAST areas already have unseen inherent energies that any additional Metal objects would trigger bleeding injuries involving Metal by accidents or violence.
For most houses, the NORTHWEST remedy in 2023 is Heavy Metal or Moving Metal, such as a key-wound or weighted clock with hundreds of moving metal gears that ticks and chimes. If a clock isn't an option for you, you may use an object made of Metal that weighs 12 to 15 pounds per 1,000 square feet of floor space in your home or workplace. In 2023, the EAST area in most houses requires half that amount of Metal as a remedy. As with all Feng Shui remedies, your Metal remedies must be out where the air currents can contact them to affect the space's energy. AND you must remove all Fire colored objects in those sections where Metal remedies are required because Fire melts Metal, thus canceling out the remedy and triggering the negative circumstances.
A beautiful wood-grained door is the safest door option to avoid triggering harmful energies, whether they are your house's inherent/permanent energies or an Annual/visiting energy. As long as the wood-grain is showing, any stain color is acceptable. If painted, it is best to use a neutral paint color like taupe or cream. Even painting your door white or grey is better than painting it Red or Black.
I never advise anyone to paint their doors RED (or any other Fire color); because eventually, one of the two disastrous energies mentioned above will visit each direction and triggered those harmful energies.
BLACK or BLUE (Water colors) are additional colors to avoid painting your doors because, with a different energy, visiting annual or inherent, Water colors trigger gossip, arguments, and legal problems.
No one wants to repaint their door from year-to-year. Therefore, your best option is to use the appropriate colored artwork or rug inside by the door when your entrance's energy requires a Water or Fire remedy.
The combination of your house's permanent energies and its visiting Annual energies determine what elemental remedies are necessary from year-to-year in an area. An area may need an Earthen object as a remedy one year, and the next may need live plants or the color green.
Elemental remedies only work when they come in contact with that space's air currents, and for colors to work as a remedy, they must be visible. Therefore, you'll want to implement your remedies as beautiful accessories that blend with your décor.
During a Feng Shui Advantage® comprehensive evaluation (consultation), precise calculations are made according to when the house was built and its exact compass orientation to reveal your home/office's inherent energies. It's because of these repeatable energy patterns and their predictable consequences on your finances, health, and relationships that Classical Yi Jing (I Ching) Feng Shui is actually a scientific system and not a belief system.
