UN-common Feng Shui Problems To Avoid...
Because There's NO Remedy.
by P.K. Odle, The Feng Shui Advantage
Many are afraid to have a Feng Shui analysis of their home or office, because they fear being told to move. In actuality, there is only a 3 to 5% chance of that, because there are only a few circumstances when it is better to re-locate. In hopes that you can avoid those situations in advance, here are the worst-case scenarios....
Near a Dump-site - Here you would have both a 'Smell & Sight Sha' and possibly a 'Noise Sha.' Anything that is an offense to one of our senses is a Sha, which is Chinese for negative influence or affect. When choosing property... choose carefully, because we have little control over the 'Big Environment' around us. If your neighbor's yard begins to look like a dump-site, you may have little recourse.
LARGE high-tension power-lines within view - Most governments claim these are safe, yet many continue to argue they have a negative affects on our health. In Feng Shui a large high-tension tower is an extremely large 'Fire Sha,' which burns-off the Qi within a building, causing the occupants to be without energy. For a smaller 'Fire Sha,' such as electrical transformers and traffic signal boxes, we can place a good sized earthen object between the 'Fire Sha' and the building to cancel out their affects. Just make sure the earthen object is not touching the building. Unfortunately, you would need to build a mountain to reduce the 'Fire Sha' of a large high-tension tower near your building.
Near a hospital, police or fire station - These create a 'Noise Sha' because of the sirens and constant traffic... which is disruptive and prevents harmony. It is rare to get a good nights rest with so much noise and activity nearby. In addition, mostly unhappy things are associated with these locations.
Near a mortuary / funeral parlor - Here again there is unhappiness and increased traffic. Not to mention the chemicals used in their work. Plus, the Yin / death energy is too strong, so it can't support Yang / life activities. One of my clients has an office in a building that was once a mortuary. All of the tenants prefer to leave the building before dark, because you can feel the energy shift in that building when the sun goes down.
Near a cemetery or burial ground - There is even more Yin / death energy in here than in a mortuary. The closer your building is the more negative affect there will be. I once saw a row of houses in the Washington, DC area where the local cemetery had actually spread down the hill behind the homes and continued between them. Now, that is way too close. However, if there is a busy street between your building and the cemetery.... the distance and movement will lessen the Yin energy.
Land / buildings where one or more Violent Deaths have occurred - A violent death is by murder or suicide. The negativity associated with violent death is nearly impossible to remove, so it is best to avoid living in these buildings or locations. I won't mention how to cleanse the land, because most cities will not allow it anyway. However, if there was a death by natural causes (disease or accidents) in the building, there isn't a problem.
If your already live in a house with one of these un-common problems, make sure you implement all the other necessary remedies and update your remedies annually...until you are able to re-locate to a more supportive environment.
