Why Fire Colored Decorations/Décor
or a RED DOOR
Can Cause Disasters!
~ or ~
The Cyclical Nature of
Feng Shui & Fire Colors!
(2018-19 revised edition)
Have you felt a change since setting-up your Fire Colored holiday decorations or added Fire Colors to your décor in a recent remodeling/redecorating project? Are you having more health challenges, such as problems with your eyes, heart, stomach or reproductive organs since adding the Fire Colors? When it comes to your personal or business relationships have you noticed an increase or decrease in gossiping, arguing or legal problems, including separation or divorce? Is it taking you longer and longer to finish a project and/or receive payments for completed projects? Are you having trouble acquiring new clients?
The colors with the strongest influence of Fire energy are obviously Red and Purple, but any shade in the Red or Purple family and even bright Fiery Oranges are still a Fire influence on the Feng Shui energies in the space. Of course, burning candles and/or using your fireplace are also a Fire influence on the Feng Shui energies.
When troubles begin in February, it's a strong probability that the Feng Shui ANNUAL Energy Shift is contributing to those problems in your life. Every house experiences an Annual Energy Shift, which explains why one year can be better or worse in the same house. By the way, in Feng Shui we refer to all buildings as a house... whether it's your home or workplace.
Like Mother Nature's changing seasons, Feng Shui's Annual Energy Shift has precise timing. Most would assume this universal energy shift occurs on the Chinese Lunar New Year, which varies from year-to-year. However, Classical Yi Jing Feng Shui studies the effects of solar energy on planet Earth; therefore, the less publicized Chinese SOLAR calendar applies to the Feng Shui energies. You can use a Western Farmer's Almanac to locate the exact Chinese Solar New Year, which is the moment when the Feng Shui Annual Energy Shift occurs on or around February 4th. In the Western world it is most often referred to as the Spring Establishment or Spring Stand, which is the exact mid-point between peaks of the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox.
The shift of the Universal or Annual Feng Shui energies affects your building differently each year, depending on your building's inherent energy blueprint. Some years circumstances will improve because the Annual Energy that visits your entrances, bedrooms and/or offices acts as a natural remedy for the permanent energy pattern present in that area. Unfortunately, some years the opposite occurs and the Annual Energy contributes to disasters by acting as a trigger for existing negative energies or by creating a sabotaging energy combination.
Certain energies bring nothing but disasters, such as accidents, delays, pain and major illnesses, including eye or heart disease... or gossip, arguments and lawsuits... or separation/divorce, stomach, abdominal or reproductive organ problems, including miscarriages or tumors and are intensified by FIRE COLORS inside those areas. For instance, if you have an entrance, bedroom, living room or office in the WEST part of your home/office in 2018 (4Feb2018 to 4Feb2019) or in the NE in 2019 (4Feb2019 to 4Feb2020) the visiting annual energy contributes to separation/divorce, stomach, abdominal or reproductive organ problems, including miscarriages or tumors... unless you remove all FIRE COLORS and use the correct elemental remedy to neutralize the negative aspects of the visiting Annual Energy.
Unfortunately, if you have Fire colors in the NORTH in 2018 (4Feb2018 to 4Feb2019) or in the SW in 2019 (4Feb2019 to 4Feb2020) they will trigger the annual energy that brings accidents, delays, pain and major illnesses, including eye or heart disease... and/or gossip, arguments and lawsuits… Whether it’s because you just happen that you like Fire colors or you're following the advice of the majority of do-it-yourself Feng Shui books that say that everyone can use Fire colors in the SOUTH and SW section of your home to enhance fame and romance (respectively)… in certain years those Fire Colors will activate only harmful energies and contribute to negative circumstances such as those mentioned above.
For most houses, the remedy necessary in the NORTH in 2018 and the SW in 2019 is Heavy Metal or Moving Metal, such as a key-wound or weighted clock with hundreds of moving metal gears that ticks and chimes. In general, Heavy Metal would about be 12 to 15 pounds per 1,000 square feet of floor space in your home or workplace. The WEST in 2018 and the NE in 2019 is an area in most houses that will require half that amount of Metal as a remedy this year. As with all Feng Shui remedies... your Metal remedies must be out where the air currents can come in contact with them to affect the energy in the space. AND you must remove all Fire colored objects in those sections where Metal remedies are required, because Fire melts Metal thus cancelling out the remedy . . . and triggering the negative circumstances.
** PLEASE NOTE ** ~ I strongly suggest you have an on-site or remote consultation before placing any Metal in these sections of your home or workplace, because there are a few houses built between 1964 – 2004 (any building/unit) that already have inherent energies where additional Metal objects, such as furniture or decorations would trigger bleeding injuries involving metal by accidents or violence.
To be on the safe side when it comes to the best Feng Shui color for your door, especially to avoid triggering any of the sabotaging or harmful energies, whether they are an Annual/visiting energy or your house's inherent/permanent energies... it is best to use a beautiful wood-grain door (any color stain is OK) or a neutral paint color like taupe or cream. Even painting your door white or grey is better than painting it Red or Black.
I never advise anyone to paint their doors RED (or any other Fire color); because eventually one of the two disastrous energies mentioned above will visit the direction of your door and be triggered by the Fire colors. Black or Blue (Water colors) are additional colors to avoid painting your doors... because with a different visiting annual energy Water colors triggers gossip, arguments and legal problems.
In the years, when the energies at your entrance do require a Water feature or Fire colored remedy... it's best to use a Water fountain or a Fire colored area rug or other beautiful decorations, because it takes less effort to pack away any Fire colored objects or a Water fountain than to repaint your door when a sabotaging annual energy visits the direction where your door is located which makes it necessary for you to change remedies for that year.
During a Feng Shui Advantage® comprehensive evaluation (consultation) precise calculations are made according to when the house was built and its exact compass orientation to reveal the inherent energies of your home/office. It's because of these repeatable energy patterns and their predictable consequences on your finances, health and relationships that Classical Yi Jing (I Ching) Feng Shui is actually a scientific system and not a belief system.
The combination of your house's permanent energies and the visiting Annual energy determines what elemental remedies are necessary each Chinese Solar year. Each year it’s important to implement all of your elemental remedies as beautiful accessories made of the required element (water fountains, live plants, fire colored, earthen or metal objects) that bring you compliments instead of questions... and that are easily transferred from room-to-room, because they may need to be adjusted from year-to-year according to the effects of the Annual Energy on your house's inherent energies.
When choosing your Feng Shui consultant... verify their credentials and speak with several references. In addition, confirm they are working with the scientific method of Traditional/Classical Yi Jing Feng Shui, which utilizes the five elements as remedies and that annual updates are available from them as a reasonable fee. Also, inquire whether you'll receive a written report that includes not just your Personal Trigram or Kua directions, but all of your unique 15° Feng Shui Personal Directions, which barely 5% of Feng Shui consultants are able to derive from your date of birth and gender.
Finally, you want to feel comfortable communicating with your Feng Shui consultant, because it's important you understand your report and their advice. Remember, Feng Shui is a sister science to Acupuncture and it is not necessary to be Chinese to be a good Acupuncturist or Feng Shui consultant, if you have been taught by a respected institution. Since 1998, I've had the honor of being an internationally respected senior instructor for the American Feng Shui Institute, which was founded by Master Larry Sang, the Feng Shui Master chosen to work on the Beijing Olympic sites. Being able to communicate easily with your Feng Shui consultant, is vital because once you begin to manage your house's Feng Shui influences and experience the Feng Shui advantage of improved health and relationships, along with enhanced prosperity... you'll want to maintain a long-term relationship with your Feng Shui consultant.
